It has been one year since the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Maryland, and Gov. Larry Hogan will be marking the solemn anniversary with a twilight vigil ceremony.
Municipalities around the state will light up government buildings in amber in memory of those who have been lost to the virus.
At National Harbor, Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks is also reflecting on the last year.
