Former Washington Wizard Bradley Beal’s one-time Bethesda mansion hits the market. Yes, there’s an indoor basketball court

Former Washington Wizards player Bradley Beal’s one-time Bethesda, Maryland, home is on the market for $11 million, and includes an indoor basketball court, outdoor tennis court, pool and spa.

Beal sold the home in 2023 for $9.185 million after being traded to the Phoenix Suns, and it underwent $1 million in renovations, according to the listing agency, which declined to name the seller. Montgomery County property tax records list the owner as D.C. businessman Dean Seavers and wife Tara.

It was the ninth-most expensive home sale in the D.C. area in 2023, according to the Washington Post.

The 14,900-square-foot, 6-bedroom, 9-and-a-half bathroom home, at 8913 Holly Leaf Lane in Bethesda’s Avenel community, sits on just over two acres. It is listed by Robert Hryniewicki, Adam Rackliffe, Christopher Leary and Micah Smith of HRL Partners at Washington Fine Properties.

The four-level house has elevator access to all floors.

The home was built in 2016 by Winmar Construction and GTM Architects. Beal bought the home in 2019 for $7.8 million. It had an original indoor basketball court, but Beal gutted it and installed an NBA-approved hardwood court and three regulation-height basket boards, along with soundproofing and a Wizards color scheme.
