WASHINGTON — Sure, people can order bacon on pizza, but a new Little Caesars creation is taking it a step further for those with a penchant for pork.
The pizza chain unveiled plans Wednesday to roll out bacon-wrapped pizza crust. The limited-offer Bacon Wrapped Crust Deep! Deep! Dish Pizza will cost $12 and is one of the Little Caesars priciest menu options, USA TODAY notes.
In case bacon wrapped around the crust isn’t enough, bacon is sprinkled on top of cheese and pepperoni, too.
“Every time you take a bite out of the crust, you’ll get bacon,” David Scrivano, CEO at Little Caesars, said to USA TODAY.
The promotion replaces the chain’s Soft Pretzel Crust Pizza.
Indulging in a piece comes with a hefty nutritional cost: a single slice is 450 calories; 23 grams of fat; 830 milligrams of sodium and 40 milligrams of cholesterol.
The pizza will be available beginning Feb. 23.
