‘Wonder Woman’ actress Gadot visits Va. children’s hospital

WASHINGTON — D.C. police have been very coy in confirming the reason behind some downtown street closures (“Wonder Woman 1984” is filming). But a Virginia hospital is more upfront, especially when actress Gal Gadot paid a visit.

Gadot, in her Wonder Woman costume, visited employees and patients at Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church on Saturday. See photos of her visit below.

The movie, which will be released next year, has been filming in Virginia and D.C. this summer.

In June, streets in Georgetown were closed and the storefront of popular punk boutique Commander Salamander was recreated for filming. The actors and film crew have also been spotted at The Watergate Hotel, along with 1980s era D.C. police cars and cows.

And if D.C. is being evasive, Virginia sure isn’t. Gov. Ralph Northam confirmed that filming is happening in Virginia locations, such as Old Town Alexandria and the defunct Landmark Mall.
