Site lets users ‘Peanut-ize’ themselves

WASHINGTON — Most kids, and former kids, have imagined what life must be like in the Peanuts world of Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, and Snoopy.

A new website, from the creators of the upcoming “The Peanuts Movie,” lets users transform themselves into characters inspired by Charles M. Schulz’s favorites.

Visitors to the site can create characters by choosing skin color, hairstyle, eye shape, nose, mouth, and clothing.

The personalized character can be placed in a variety of familiar Peanuts settings, including the school dance and the Charlie Brown Christmas ice skating pond.

“Charles Schulz always said there’s a little bit of him in all the characters he created,” says Peanuts Movie director Steve Martino, in USA Today.  “Now we’ve built this website in a way that everyone can have the experience of finding themselves as a Peanuts character.”

“The Peanuts Movie” will be in theaters Nov. 6.
