WASHINGTON — “Angry Birds” became a sensation as an iPhone app.
Now, a trailer has dropped for a movie version, which comes complete with a cover of the famous Carpenters lyric, “Why do birds suddenly appear?”
The movie will feature the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Peter Dinklage, Bill Hader, Josh Gad, Maya Rudolph and Danny McBride.
The script will be written by “Simpsons” and “King of the Hill” alum Jon Vitti.
“Angry Birds” hits movie theaters on May 20, 2016.
