WASHINGTON — It takes a lot to upstage a Jedi-cloak-wearing Weird Al Yankovic, but a 13-year-old girl with autism did just that during a star-studded comedy telethon that raised money for the developmental disorder.
Jodi DiPiazza, 13, performed alongside Yankovic during the Night of Too Many Stars event, which aired Sunday on Comedy Central. The telethon raises money to help educate kids with autism.
DiPiazza played piano and belted harmonies to Yankovic’s “Yoda” — a parody of the Kinks’ “Lola.” The performance earned DiPiazza a standing ovation from the crowd.

It wasn’t DiPiazza’s first time on stage. She performed “Fireworks” with Katy Perry in 2012.
The event featured stars such as Steve Carell, Louis C.K., Larry David, Adam Sandler, Maya Rudolph, Amy Schumer, Martin Short and Susan Saradon.
Since 2006, Night of Too Many Stars has raised more than $18 million, according to Comedy Central.
