WASHINGTON — A water main break in Northeast D.C. has left 40 homes without water Saturday.
The break was reported around noon and affected homes on I Street between 12th Street and 13th Street in Northeast, DC Water said.
The company said infrastructure is old and may be the reason for the break.
Crews have been sent to the location, but water may not be restored until 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, DC Water said.
The main break comes after a boil advisory was issued for parts of Northwest and Northeast due to possible contamination Friday. The boil advisory is still in effect for parts of Northeast.
