Silver alert canceled for 73-year-old woman

WASHINGTON —  A silver alert has been canceled Sunday afternoon for a woman who had been missing since Friday.

D.C. police say Martha Curtis, 73, has been located.

D.C. police said Curtis was last seen on the 3800 block of Suitland Road in Southeast D.C. around 5:30 p.m. on Friday before being located.

Officials described her as black with a medium complexion, red hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 4 inches and weighs 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue and white denim jumper and carrying a purse.

Police had said that she may have been in need of medication.
