Police investigate fatal shooting in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON — Detectives from the D.C. police are investigating a fatal shooting in Southeast D.C. on Tuesday night.

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting around 10 p.m. on Tuesday in the 4400 block of E Street in Southeast.

When they arrived, officers found Tyron Anthony Johnson, 24, of Southeast, inside an apartment building suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release.

D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services took Johnson to an area hospital where he died.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in D.C.
