Police investigate fatal shooting in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON — D.C. police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Friday night in Southeast.

Police responded to the 4300 block of 4th Street around 9:48 p.m. for reports of a shooting, according to a news release.

When they arrived, police located a David Hart, 22, of Southeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Hart was transported to an area hospital where he died.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in D.C.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s text tip line by sending a text message to 50411.
