Man arrested in fatal Southeast DC shooting

WASHINGTON — A man has been arrested on a charge of killing a D.C. man.

D.C. police arrested 26-year-old Charles Wennen Young for shooting and killing 29-year-old Kenneth Poindexter of Southeast in January.

Police responded to a report of a shooting on the 4700 block of Benning Road on Jan. 20. When they arrived, they found Poindexter had been shot multiple time inside a residence.

Young has no fixed address. He is charged with first-degree murder.
