WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in Southeast D.C. on Saturday.
At around 1 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 4700 block of Benning Road. When they arrived, they found 29-year-old Kenneth Poindexter, of Southeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a residence.
Poindexter was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to D.C. police.
