DC police seek suspect in Anacostia armed kidnapping

WASHINGTON — D.C. police are looking for a man who jumped into another person’s vehicle, forcing them to drive at gun point.

It happened on March 19 on the 1400 block of Good Hope Road Southeast in Anacostia. Just before 5 p.m., the suspect got inside the victim’s vehicle, brandished a gun and told the victim to drive, D.C. police said.

The victim complied but was able to flee after a short time. The man fled in the victim’s vehicle, which has since been recovered.

The suspect is between 6 feet 5 inches and 6 feet 7 inches, in his 40s, with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black cap with a green logo; a black, quilted coat; dark blue pants; and gray shoes.
