About 1,500 without power in D.C. for 5 hours

WASHINGTON — An underground problem had about 1,500 Pepco customers in Northeast D.C., near Union Station, without power Thursday morning.

Pepco says the problem was first reported around 5 a.m. Traffic lights in the area were also cut off. Power was restored around 10 a.m.

If you need the number for your power company, text the word “POWER” to 91035 and WTOP will text the full list back to you.
