WASHINGTON — Two people are in custody after a teen was stabbed in Petworth Tuesday morning. It was the second time in two days that a D.C. student was stabbed before going to school.
“There was probably 25 cop cars between cars and motorcycles and [officers] on bicycles,” said Shawn, who was working at the location where the two men were taken into custody near 8th and Upshur streets in Northwest.
The Cardozo High School teen was stabbed at a bus stop at the intersection of Georgia and Webster avenues at about 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim is expected to be OK.
D.C. police charged Deangelo McCombs of Southeast and Malik Dominique Lambert of Northwest with assault with a dangerous weapon. Both men are 19 years old.
A 17-year-old was also stabbed in the leg around the same time Monday morning during an attempted robbery across from Wilson High School in Tenleytown. That teen is expected to be fine.
