WASHINGTON — The man who has been accused of shooting at a Metrobus in Southeast D.C. last month has been arrested.
The Metro police say Bijon Brown shot at a bus on Aug. 21 on Elvans Road, in Southeast. A man on the bus was wounded; he’s expected to recover.
The victim wasn’t believed at the time to be the intended target. Brown, however, was arrested at the house where the victim lived, which was owned by the victim’s mother.
When U.S. Marshals and the Metro police knocked on the door of the house, everyone ran except Brown, who was found hiding in a closet. The police say Brown and the victim were friends.
Brown faces a weapons charge, but police say more charges are likely.
