WASHINGTON — A contracted security guard shot a man at D.C.‘s Union Station Friday afternoon after the guard witnessed the man stab a woman in the building.
A woman at the McDonald’s in Union Station was stabbed by the male suspect. A security guard under contract by the nearby U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission witnessed the offense, chased the suspect and shot him, says Metropolitan Police Department Spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump.
The suspect, who was armed with a knife, accosted the security guard, which led the guard to shoot the suspect in the stomach.
The suspect is expected to be OK, as is the female victim.
