WASHINGTON — Police say four people were shot Thursday night and early Friday in three shooting incidents in D.C., and one man has died.
Officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the area of Georgia Avenue and Lamont Street in Northwest Washington around 9:30 p.m. Police say the victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Thirty minutes later, there was another shooting less than a half-mile away from that scene. It happened on Newton Place off Georgia Avenue. Police say two men were hurt, but both were conscious and breathing when they were taken to a hospital.
A man was hurt in a third shooting around 12:30 a.m. Friday along Delaware Avenue near M Street, Southwest. Police say the victim was conscious and breathing.
Police have not said if any of the shootings were connected.
