1 ID’d in fatal NW D.C. row home fire

UPDATED June 4, 2015, 8:10 p.m.: The Metropolitan Police Department has identified one of the people who died in the Wednesday morning fire in Northwest D.C. as 24-year-old Michael Patrick McLoughlin.

EARLIER, June 3:
WASHINGTON — Two people are dead after a two-alarm blaze at a row home along the 1600 block of Riggs Place in Northwest Washington.

Five others, including three firefighters, were injured. Two of those people have serious injuries, according to the D.C. fire department.

Firefighters received the 911 call around 2:30 a.m., Wednesday.

The fire has been extinguished and 16th Street has reopened near Riggs Place after fire officials investigated the blaze.
