Police arrest one suspect in Northeast D.C. robbery

WASHINGTON – D.C. Metropolitan Police have arrested one of the men they say are responsible for a robbery in Northeast, on Sunday, April 26.

Police say, the victim was approached by the two suspects in the 500 block of 50th Street, NE.  One suspect pulled out a gun and demanded property. After that, the victim entered his residence and locked the door.  The suspects then forced their way into the residence, stole the property and fled.

On Thursday, May 21, D.C. detectives arrested 18-year-old Nathaniel Cooper of Southeast and charged him with burglary.

The second suspect, who is described as a 20 to 22 year old black male, is still at-large

Anyone with information about this case should call police at 202-727-9099.  Information can also be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.  The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for a burglary committed in the District of Columbia.
