Metro Police release images of pistol-whipping robbers

WASHINGTON — Metro Transit Police are looking for several suspects in a robbery and aggravated assault that took place at the Tenleytown Metro station in Northwest, D.C., on Thursday night.

Police have confirmed that two 17-year-olds were robbed of their iPhones.  One of them was pistol whipped and sustained a laceration on the top of his head, sending him for treatment at a nearby hospital. The other victim was not injured in the incident.

Metro police say the two teens were leaving a basketball game at nearby Wilson High School at about 10:18 p.m when they were approached by several assailants. Police have released their images captured on the Metro’s surveillance cameras.

Anyone who is able to identify the individuals pictured in the photos is asked to call Metro Transit Police Detectives at (202) 962-2121 and reference case #2015-07599. Tips also can be sent via text message to “MyMTPD” (696873).
