WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutors are filing child pornography charges against former Charles County Public Schools coach Carlos Bell, who is already facing state charges for the sexual exploitation of 42 children.
A federal indictment shows Bell is facing 12 counts of production of child pornography between 2014 and 2016.
The indictment includes at least 10 child victims.
Bell was indicted last month on 206 charges in the sex abuse of 42 victims ranging in age from 11-17.
Investigators have said there could be more victims in the case, which was expected to produce federal charges.
Bell was a coach at various Charles County schools between October 2014 and December 2016. He was also a teaching assistant at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School, where many of the alleged crimes took place.
