The buyer of Greater Washington’s most expensive home ever sold is none other than Daniel M. Snyder, the owner of the recently renamed Washington Commanders.
Snyder had long been rumored as the buyer of River View near George Washington’s Mount Vernon, but only recently was it confirmed, thanks to public records. The team owner had contributed $25,000 to Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s inaugural committee on Jan. 7, and in the report the committee filed with the State Board of Elections, he listed River View’s address at 7979 E. Boulevard Drive as his home address — and Washington Football Team owner under “business or employment information.”
A spokesperson for the Commanders, which is headquartered in Loudoun County, was not immediately available for comment.
