Union Station a top stop for Lyft

WASHINGTON —Rideshare company Lyft keeps track of where its drivers drop off passengers, and D.C.’s Union Station tops one category this year.

Lyft’s second annual Lyft Awards said Union Station was the No. 1 transit destination stop for Lyft drivers nationwide this year.

Other top Lyft drop off destinations in Washington this year:

Top restaurant: Founding Farmers DC
Top Bar: Don Tito
Top Event Venue: Kennedy Center
Trending Destination: African American History Museum

MGM’s new National Harbor casino opened just two weeks ago so it’s a new stop of Lyft drivers, but MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas was Lyft’s top hotel drop-off destination this year.

Lyft did not provide the actual number of drop-offs at any of the destinations that topped its various categories.

Lyft’s most visited bar this year is The Abbey, a popular gay bar in West Hollywood.

“We are currently working with the City of West Hollywood to install a permanent drop-off point directly in front of the Abbey,” Lyft quotes David Cooley, founder of the Abby Food & Bar as saying.

Lyft’s No. 1 restaurant for passenger drop offs this year was ACME Feed & Seed in Nashville. Its top tourist destination was Navy Pier, Chicago.

Its No. 1 drop-off category is airports. San Francisco International Airport was this year’s top airport drop off.
