WASHINGTON — An 1860s waterfront bed-and-breakfast in St. Michaels, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, just hit the market for $1.975 million.

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. has the listing, and said the inn, Aida’s Victoriana Inn, includes original wainscoting, millwork mantels and hardwood floors. It has seven bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms, in addition to a separate, two-bedroom owner’s cottage.

Victoriana, originally built in 1865, overlooks the old Navy Point, which was the original location for the town’s oyster and canning houses and is now home to the Chesapeake Maritime Museum. It is two blocks from Talbot Street’s shops and restaurants in St. Michaels.

It is also a popular Chesapeake Bay sailing destination.

The 4,400-square-foot home has been operating as an inn since 1987 and is one of the largest houses in St. Michaels.

It has rocking chairs on the front porch and a small beach with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. Long & Foster said occupancy averages about 70 percent year-round and that the inn is fully booked during the spring and summer seasons.

The inn is being sold fully furnished.

The inn can be an event and wedding venue and includes seating, tables, flatware and stemware for up to 120 guests.

Long & Foster will provide profit and loss statements for potential buyers.
