Man’s death declared a homicide 10 years after shooting

BALTIMORE (AP) — A Baltimore man’s death has been ruled a homicide a decade after he was shot and paralyzed.

Baltimore Police said Saturday that their investigation into the 2007 shooting of Lyndon Waddell Jr. of Northeast Baltimore remains open and they are seeking the public’s help.

Police said Waddell was shot in the back Jan. 5, 2007 and paralyzed.

He died 10 years later — April 8, 2017 — at Johns Hopkins Hospital at the age of 29.

According to police, the medical examiner determined on July 5 that Waddell’s death was a direct result of the gunshot wound.
