Maggie Bartolomeo knew radio was the career for her ever since she began volunteering for her school’s campus radio station at the University of Maryland from her start in 2012 to her graduation in 2015.  Her employment with WTOP News has been a dream come true and she loves the thrill of helping to cover breaking local and national news. 

Maggie has dreams of one day being an anchor herself, and frequently practices her news voice when she thinks no one is listening.  In the meantime, helping out as an Assistant Editor has been time well spent and she hopes to spend much more time here at WTOP. 

In her free time, Maggie spends a lot of time reading and occasionally speaking with other people.  She adores Captain America and even has a life-size shield in her room that makes its appearance every Halloween.
