Jacob Kerr joined WTOP in 2016 as a news assistant. After just over a year, he moved over to technical operations, where he monitors the station’s audio before it hits the air.
Before coming to the glass enclosed nerve center, he made stops at PBS NewsHour, The Huffington Post and KUT 90.5 in Austin. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he studied government and journalism during his time there and spent his nights working at the college paper.
Having grown up in both the UK and Texas, he is very passionate about Tottenham Hotspur and the Houston Astros. In his free time, he likes go cycling or put on a classic film.
