WASHINGTON —At least one person was shot after an altercation at Fort Meade in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, law enforcement sources tell CBS News.
A law enforcement source tells CBS News a vehicle attempted to ram a gate to NSA.
The guards responded by shooting at the vehicle.
At least one person was shot, CBS reports.
There is no indication that the incident was terrorism related.
Anne Arundel County Fire tells WTOP two people have been taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Chad Jones, a spokesman at Fort Meade, says emergency responders are on the scene.
He says he doesn’t know how the injuries occurred.
Police at the National Security Agency are handling the investigation.
Local television showed two damaged vehicles near a gate to the base and emergency workers loading an injured uniformed man into an ambulance.

About 11,000 military personnel and 29,000 civilians work at the Army installation, according the military installation’s website.
