PHOTOS: Meet the dogs and cats of the DC Council

WASHINGTON — There’s never a bad reason to run a gallery of pet photos.

Fortunately, some members of the D.C. Council recently offered the Humane Rescue Alliance and WTOP a very good reason to run one: They posed for portraits with their four-legged pals.

All cats and dogs included here are reportedly well-versed in the nuances of municipal policy, and they went on-record confirming their support for a frequent-skritch ordinance.

Learn how you can adopt a lovable critter of your very own on the Humane Rescue Alliance website.
