Police in Virginia seek man after woman’s body discovered

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A woman’s body has been discovered and police in Virginia are seeking a man in connection with her death.

The Virginian-Pilot reports (http://bit.ly/2swFhKA ) police identified 42-year-old Zorobabel Matthan Griggs as wanted in connection with the death of a woman whose body was discovered inside an apartment Monday morning in Virginia Beach’s Lake Edward neighborhood.

Griggs is described as 5-feet-8 and 200 pounds, with gray facial hair, a shaved head and a scar on his cheek. He also has “Kayos” tattooed on his chest and arm.

A written statement from police says he is considered dangerous and known to be violent.

Antonio Johnson, who lives in a neighboring apartment complex, says he’s lived nearby for eight years and that the area is usually peaceful.

It’s unclear if Griggs has an attorney.
