Former Gov. Bob McDonnell to be sentenced Tuesday

WASHINGTON — History will be made Tuesday when former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell is sentenced for public corruption.

He and his wife Maureen were convicted in September of accepting loans and gifts from a wealthy businessman.

Bob McDonnell could spend decades in prison, but federal officials are recommending 10 to 12 years.

Instead of prison time, his defense attorneys are requesting community service.

Maureen McDonnell is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 20.

So what do you think? Should Bob McDonnell go to prison? Or should he be sentenced to community service?
