WTOP told you about how your old cut Christmas tree could be used at some of the aviaries in Maryland state parks. WTOP got a look inside one of those aviaries to meet some of the creatures that would enjoy your old tree in their enclosures.
The folks at Maryland State Parks’ Scales and Tales programs say your old Christmas trees can help enrich the habitats of local birds. The trees will be welcomed by the many raptors: two bald eagles; kestrels; and barred and barn owls.
Runners in Rock Creek Park are used to enjoying
the beauty of nature during their workouts.
