The new faces of GWAR speak — and it\’s not pretty. The world as we know it is in peril, and these two ugly aliens are the only things preventing our complete desolation. Editor\’s note: The photos may not be appropriate for all ages.
D.C. will rock this weekend.
WTOP heads to the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, an all-day assault of the senses hosted by Gwar and featuring a dozen punk, metal and thrash bands.
If you\’ve never been to a GWAR show or even heard of the Richmond-based shock rock band, think of blood, guts and aliens.
The members of GWAR, founded in Richmond, Va., describe themselves as \”the epitome of an art-rock band.\” Since the 1980s, they have performed intense songs such as \”America Must Be Destroyed\” and \”War Is all We Know\” that correspond to their diabolical monster costumes made of rubber and foam.
