Cardinals 15
Panthers 49 It was the first time in the Super Bowl Era that Heisman Trophy-winning QBs faced off in a playoff game. There were many other similarities between Cam Newton and Carson Palmer. But once this game got started, it was obvious that Cam is not just the MVP … he’s an unstoppable force that even Arizona’s 5th-ranked defense couldn’t slow down. And that Cardinals offense? Their seven turnovers were the most by any team in any playoff game in 15 years. Considering Palmer was guilty of six of them, it could be time to start thinking about a better long term solution at quarterback. (AP Photo/Chuck Burton)

Patriots 18
Broncos 20 Considering the regular seasons Peyton Manning and Tom Brady just had, either this was the NFL’s version of Freaky Friday or Denver effectively executed Ed Reed’s blueprint on how to beat New England. Of course, Von Miller calling his own shot didn’t hurt either. What’s really stunning to me is Brady’s ineptitude in Denver; he’s now just 2-7 all-time when playing there, and has only beaten them with the likes of Danny Kanell and Tim Tebow opposing him. Given the injury situation and the lack of help his receivers gave him Sunday, I wouldn’t read into it too far. (Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)
