Although some cloudiness will remain overnight, the area will stay dry as temperatures settle to the 40s.
THURSDAY:
Partly sunny
Highs: 58-63
Winds: Northeast 5-10 mph
High temperatures will struggle to reach 60 degrees in some neighborhoods. The average daytime high for late April is now 71.
FRIDAY:
Mostly sunny. Frost possible North and West
Highs: 63-68
Winds: Southeast 5-10 mph
We’ll round out the week continued cool. There’s a chance for patchy frost early in the morning, especially in our western suburbs. Daytime highs will be a few degrees higher than Thursday, but still below the seasonal average. It will be dry for your Friday and Friday night plans.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE WEEKEND:
Plan for big temperature swings this weekend. Saturday will be the cooler weekend day with highs in the 60s. Sunday will be dramatically warmer with highs in the mid-80s. High temperatures will stay in the 80s into early next week.
