Plan for a chilly April day with plenty of clouds and unseasonably cool high temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. Our average high for this time of year is 71, so well below average.

THURSDAY NIGHT:
Partly cloudy
Lows: 41-47
Winds: Southeast 5 mph
Scattered clouds are expected overnight with temperatures in the 40s. Frost looks less likely with added clouds and a bit of a breeze.

FRIDAY:
Mostly sunny
Highs: 62-65
Winds: Southeast 5-10 mph
We’ll round out the week continued cool, but sunnier skies are expected. Daytime highs will be a few degrees higher than Thursday, but still below the seasonal average. It will be dry for your Friday and Friday night plans. 

SATURDAY:
Mostly cloudy. Slight chance for rain shower.
Highs: 60-65
Winds: Southeast 5-10 mph
Saturday will be the cooler weekend day with highs, still below average, in the low to mid 60s. A warm front will approach the area bringing a slight chance for a few showers, especially along the Blue Ridge.

SUNDAY:
Highs: 82-85
Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph
A significant warming trend begins Sunday with afternoon highs well into the 80s. Humidity levels will be low, so it should feel comfortably warm. You’ll want to remember to stay hydrated outdoors with sunscreen, as our UV index continues to rise this time of year.
