Prince William County police looking for shooting suspects

WASHINGTON — Prince William County police are looking for shooting suspects after a man was shot Sunday at the Triangle Shopping Plaza in Dumfries, Virginia.

Police say the victim was shot after an altercation with three other people.

The suspects left the area on foot. A police K-9 and a helicopter are searching the area.

The victim has been flown to a hospital.

Police believe the victim and the suspects know one another.

Police described the shooter as a black man, 6-feet tall, late teens, early 20s with short dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt. The other two suspects were described as a white female and black male.

The suspects were last seen running toward the VDOT property and into the wooded area.
