Police arrest 2 men in Oxon Hill homicide

WASHINGTON — Police arrested two men in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Oxon Hill in June.

Prince George’s County police announced Monday that they arrested 25-year-old Jarrett Jackson and 28-year-old Jarrell Jackson for their role in the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Shahim Body of Oxon Hill on June 6. The two men are brothers, police said.

Police said around 8:40 p.m. on June 6, police responded to the 5200 block of Leverett Street to find Body outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He died several hours later.

The shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the suspects and Body, according to police.

Both Jarrell and Jarrett are charged with first degree murder and other related charges.
