Police locate vehicle linked to fatal security guard shooting

WASHINGTON — Police say they have located the vehicle a suspect drove after a shooting that left one Prince George’s County security guard dead last week.

Over the weekend, Prince George’s County police said they located the 2012 black Dodge Charger over that a surveillance camera captured leaving the scene of a shooting at an apartment complex in Capitol Heights.

Prince George’s County police say that Adrian Kinard, 26, of Northeast D.C., was shot by his car, which was parked at the Central Gardens Apartments. He died later at the hospital.

A second guard was also shot and suffered lower body injuries.

Surveillance video near the scene showed a black Dodge Charger leaving.

On Sunday, police found the vehicle parked on 45th Street in Northeast D.C. near Kenilworth Gardens.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who may have any information on this car which had paper, temporary tags.
