Prince George’s County police seek suspect in fatal Capitol Heights shooting

WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police are investigating a shooting that led to a man’s death in Capitol Heights, Maryland, Wednesday evening.

Patrol officers were called to the 6700 block of Calmos Street at 8 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When police arrived, they found 26-year-olf Alonzo Stinnie of Takoma Park inside a car suffering from gunshot wounds.

Stinnie was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives say they don’t think this was a random act and they are working to identify any suspects in the case.

There is a reward of $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
