Flight from Las Vegas to Montana diverted

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Allegiant Air says a flight from Las Vegas to Missoula, Montana, was diverted after a light warned of a problem with the plane’s hydraulic system.

The flight on Friday was diverted to West Wendover, Nevada, a city along Interstate 80 on the Nevada-Utah line.

Allegiant spokeswoman Jessica Wheeler says the crew landed the plane safely, and passengers were transferred to a different plane, which completed the trip to Missoula.

That flight arrived in the Montana city about six hours later than originally scheduled.

Wheeler says there was a report of an unidentified odor in the cabin, but all 146 passengers and six crew members aboard weren’t affected.
