FedEx Field scores low ranking on NFL stadium list

WASHINGTON – What’s the best stadium in the NFL? It’s not FedEx Field, that’s for sure. Not even close.

At least according to one media site.

Using Yelp reviews, The Roosevelts ranked all 31 stadiums in the NFL. FedEx Field came in at 30, beating out just one other stadium.

According to the site, the Minnesota Vikings’ Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome is the worst stadium in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers’ Lambeau Field came in first.

The Roosvelts used not only the score on Yelp to determine the rankings, but also the number of reviews. FedEx Field has 2.8 stars and 108 reviews. Lambeau Field has 5 stars and 112 ratings.

On FedEx Field’s Yelp page, reviews can be arranged by certain criteria. When set up by lowest rating, a review By “Paul M. from November 2008 tops the list. He gave the stadium a single star.

“I went to the debacle of a Monday Night Football game last week vs Steelers. First time to the stadium. A baptism of fire, I picked up my buddies at 3.15pm and we were not back until 2.15am. I have been on more comfortable religious pilgrimages where you walk barefoot over rocks and pray the rosary and don’t eat or sleep for three days,” said Paul M.

The reviewer even offered a bold claim: “You heard it here first – this place will be torn down within 10 years.

But it wasn’t all bad. One 5-star review by “Justin J.” posted just this week said, “We asked the attendant if we could park in the handicap lot because I’m in a walking cast for a Kobe Bryant-esque achilles year. They were more than helpful and allowed us to park there. Very friendly staff, kudos to them for kindness.”
