WASHINGTON – If you’re looking for ways to get out and challenge your body as summer winds down, there are a handful of local races that will get your blood pumping — some even take place this weekend.
The Blue Crab 10K consists of three different trail runs throughout Montgomery County, Md. Runners will have the opportunity to race on the Seneca Creek Course, the Schaeffer Farms Course and the Little Bennett Course. Race fees are $40 and registration is available online.
An exercise and social experience, this event starts with a 5K run and ends with an after-party cool down. Included in your race entry is exclusive admission to a unique post-race celebration that takes place at a different bar, club or other venue.
The Montgomery County Road Runners Club will host a “school spirit” 8K run — so come decked-out in your favorite school’s apparel. Registration is race-day, only, and the race begins at 7:30 a.m. in Martin Luther King Park, Silver Spring, Md.
