Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Montgomery

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for most of Montgomery County including Bethesda until 4:30 p.m. as an expected strong storm system moves into the area.

Strong winds are expected. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services is asking people to secure or house trash cans, patio furniture and other outdoor items that could become projectiles in high winds.

A Tornado Warning for northwestern Montgomery County is in effect until 4 p.m.
