3 million still use AOL’s dial-up internet service

WASHINGTON – There are still more than 3 million people who subscribe to AOL’s dial-up internet service.

That’s about 400,000 less than a year ago — but fewer people have dropped over the last few months.

AOL had fewer subscriber losses last quarter than any time in the last decade, reports SplatF. The numbers started to tick lower in 2003 — now around an eighth of their peak.

AOL’s website shows unlimited dial-up plans today ranging from 10 bucks to 26 bucks a month.
