WASHINGTON – The Beltway Outer Loop at the Springfield Interchange will be fully closed overnights beginning Monday June 25 through Wednesday June 27. Starting at 9:30 p.m. each night, lanes will begin to close progressing to a full closure by 11 p.m. Crews will also close the exit to Interstate 395 northbound. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following day.
Outer Loop and I-395 north traffic will be detoured to exit 57A, I-95 south to exit 166B, Fairfax County Parkway (Route 286/Old Route 7100) south, and then will follow signage back to the Outer Loop and I-395 north.
This work is part of the I-495 Express Lanes project which is on schedule to be completed by late 2012.
