Greenbelt woman pulls off another Jeopardy! win

WASHINGTON – Jessamine Price of Greenbelt will be back on Jeopardy! for her fourth night Tuesday.

Price, who was in third place going into Final Jeopardy!, failed to get the correct question in the “Final People of Europe” category, but she won anyway, thanks to how she bet.

The other two competitors — Richard Elepano of New York and Reid Rodgers of North Platte, Neb. — also failed to come up with the correct question for this answer: “These people who ruled large parts of Spain before the Celtic and Roman dominance left their name on the land.”

Price and Elepano answered with “Who are the Basques?”

While Rodgers knew the answer, he botched the spelling of “Iberians” so badly his answer wasn’t allowed.

Price, who came into her third night on the show with $19,202, ended the night with $26,803.
