WASHINGTON – Gas prices are inching higher by the day. But, it turns out there is a day of the week when gas prices are cheapest.
It’s Wednesday. It’s a day when most people aren’t thinking about filling their gas tanks.
The most expensive time to fill up is the weekend, when most people are out on the road, says GasBuddy.com.
And the easier it is to find a gas station, the more you’re going to pay. They recommend going off the beaten path instead of stopping at gas stations just off the highway.
Spending a little extra time to find places that charge less pays off in the end.
Take advantage of partnerships between gas station chains and other merchants, like the relationship between some gas stations and certain grocery stores.
